PFC Events & Fundraisers

About PFC Fundraising

The Parent Faculty Club (PFC) engages in a number of fundraising efforts and activities for the purpose of meeting financial needs that are not being met with state and district funding. These efforts will be aimed at securing the greatest opportunities in physical, mental and social education for every Northwood Elementary School student. If you would like to volunteer at any of these events, please contact Denise Horn or visit our Parent Involvement page.

The Read-a-thon begins at the end of January with an informational kick-off assembly, and lasts the whole month of February. This fundraiser is 2-fold, focusing on encouraging daily reading and raising funds for our school.

Reading with your child or siblings and reading to each other, are two great ways to accumulate minutes on your reading log. Prizes for minutes read are distributed weekly and prizes for pledges collected will be distributed at our prize assembly.

Last year, Northwood raised over $1,000 in Box Tops. Let's try to match that again this year! Box Tops can be dropped off in the pink bucket in the office. For more information, bonus Box Tops, coupons and special sweepstakes, visit boxtops4education.com.

eScrip

We are participating in a powerful fundraising opportunity called eScrip. Northwood could potentially earn hundreds of dollars without you even having to donate a cent! eScript participating merchants contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty cards, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to Northwood Elementary School. Visit our family of merchants for a complete list of participants in the program.

Simply register online at www.escrip.com. That’s it! Visit eScrip merchants to shop. It’s automatic! For more information, print the eScrip pdf.

Dine and Donate
Throughout the school year

Enjoy a meal at your favorite restaurant with other Northwood families and raise money for our students at the same time!  Once a month a generous eating establishment in Napa donates a portion of the proceeds from lunch and/or dinner to Northwood when families bring in a flyer.  Look for updates in the PFC Newsletter!

Ink Cartridge & Cell Phone Recycling
