About Feelin' Good® Mileage Club
The Feelin’ Good® Mileage Club (FGMC) is North America’s premier walking/running program for schools. Last year, more than 2.5 million children in nearly 20,000 schools logged almost 30 million miles (48 million kilometers)! This amount of activity helps reduce playground hassles, increase kids’ learning readiness and fight obesity.
Students participate at lunch recess on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. As students walk/run laps around the playground, teachers and/or parent volunteers punch the student's mileage card for each lap. One mileage card equals five miles (eight kilometers). When mileage cards are completed, the student receives a Toe Token (an adorable, brightly colored foot charm) to put on a shoelace or chain. Toe Tokens are distributed on Fridays at our school assembly. Students are encouraged to continue walking/running to maintain a healthy body, and to complete mileage cards and collect additional Toe Tokens.
