Using MealpayPlus
Northwood Elementary School students may purchase a hot lunch on a daily basis by going through the lunch line with cash. Milk can be purchased separately from the lunches. If you wish to buy lunches for more than one day at a time, pre-payment can be handled in the office or via a free account from MealpayPlus. Lunch cards are distributed through the school district food services department. They also provide lunch menus and nutritional information. Cash or checks should be made payable to NVUSD and can be sent to school with students or dropped off at the school office.
Free/Reduced-Price Lunches
Applications for free and reduced-price lunches are available in the school office. Once approved, the application entitles the student to lunches for the remainder of the school year and 1 month into the following year while updated applications are processed.
Students may not borrow money for lunches. Students with outstanding balances will be allowed to have milk and eat from the salad bar, but will not be served an entree. Outstanding balance notices will be sent with students, however PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MONTORING THEIR ACCOUNTS.
Late Arrival of Home Packed Lunches
Home packed lunches brought in late may be dropped off at the school office. Please label all lunches and lunch boxes with your child's first and last name, and room number.
