At Northwood Elementary School, we are a community committed to working together to provide a quality education for our students. Bookworms
Grades: Kinders

Dates: Mondays, May 17th - June 7th (4 sessions)
Times: 1:45 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Book: Freckle Juice by Judy Blume

The Bookworms class will be all about...you guessed it...READING! In this session, we will read the book Freckle Juice by Judy Blume. We will also discuss the book and, if we have time, we'll do a related activity.

Book description: Andrew wants freckles more than anything else, so Sharon offers to sell him her secret freckle recipe. When Andrew turns green from the recipe, and blue from his own freckle-making brew, it's doubtful he'll ever wish for freckles again! "Spontaneous humor, sure to appeal to the youngest reader."

Donation: $10 for all 4 sessions

*Proceeds will be used towards books and reading programs needed at Northwood. Our goal is to exceed $100.
