Congratulations to our three 5th graders who participated in the annual Daughters of the American Revolution Essay contest.

Amanda M. and Calvin B. received certificates for their participation in the essay. Ben V. won 3rd place in Napa and Sonoma! It is Northwood's first year to participate in this contents. Way to go kids!

Northwood now has a mobile web app for your smartphone! No matter which smartphone you have, iPhone, Android or other brand, it will work. Just follow the instructions below:

On your smartphone, go to the Internet and type in the URL:
ibuildapp.com/web-Northwood_School
(there's an underscore _ between Northwood and School)

Then click on the icon that has the option "Add to Home Screen". On the iPhone, it's the little square with the arrow at the bottom of your screen. By adding it to your Home Screen, you've created an icon for the app (a blue eagle with the letter N).

That's it! Now whenever you want to access it, just click on the icon!

New Children’s Booster Seat Law

From Somos Napa/We Are Napa:

Children UNDER 8 years of age still need to be in their boosters (restrained) in the back seat when riding in any motor vehicle (Car/Truck/Van, etc.) That means through your 7^th Birthday until your 8^th Birthday. On your 8^th Birthday you may graduate to the vehicle seat bench, unless you reach 4’9” before then.
